Dutch Wildlife Health Centre
Wild animals and disease
dood dier melden
How does DWHC work?
The DWHC is the national wildlife disease centre that identifies and investigates diseases among wild animals in the Netherlands, shares the knowledge gained, and advises on potential risks to humans and animals.
Why reporting is important
It is very important that you keep reporting dead wild animals, even if the animals cannot be collected. This helps us to maintain insight into the mortality among wild animals.
Cleaning up dead wild animals
The responsibility of removing dead wild animals does not lie with the DWHC; see here who is responsible for removing dead animals.
